Are you a skilled WordPress Developer/Full Stack Developer looking for an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of a dynamic digital marketing company? RizeUp Media, Inc. is seeking a talented individual to join our remote team and play a key role in developing, maintaining, and optimizing our clients’ websites.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and enhance custom WordPress themes and plugins
• Optimize website performance, security, and scalability through efficient coding practices
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to WordPress and associated technologies
• QA sites after development and prepare transfer to live hosting.
• Update sites with minor changes as requested
• Install and monitor various external codes and 3rd party plugins (e.g., tracking codes, chat widgets)
• Connect to 3rd party APIs

Client Interaction:

• Act as a technical liaison between the development team and clients.
• Provide clear communication and manage expectations.
• Participate in client meetings to gather requirements and address technical queries.

Technical Requirements:

• Set a vision for code architecture and tech stack
• Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, Sass, and JavaScript
• Experience using debugging tools such as XDebug
• Mitigating the consequences of upgrading/downgrading versions of languages, plugins, themes, databases
• Manage backups and restorations
• Integration with REST APIs
• Familiarity with API Interfacing, VPS Hosting, Cpanel – WHM, Apache/Nginx, DNS management, Cloudflare, and server security

WordPress Developer Requirements:

• Minimum 5 (five) years of WordPress experience
• Good communication and writing skills
• Experience with the Gutenberg editor
